So today I learned some news, that Pearson Air Museum made a mistake and double booked on our date. The other group they've booked is larger than ours and already paid half of their balance, and also are unwilling to negotiate. So, after I freaked out a bit...I was able to negotiate a larger, nicer, more expensive venue for the same rate that Pearson promised me, as well as have a few things comped that were previously not included.
Everything else is the same, and the new venue is about 1/4 mile up the road from Pearson, right off of Officers Row. It's newly remodeled and has a few other perks that Pearson didn't offer. So...in this situation, I was able to find a blessing in the midst of a crisis! All in all, it's going to make the reunion way better, so the little bit of stress and confusion it may cause is worth it. :)
